This morning, we unpacked Jesus’ message to not “worry about your life…what you will eat, or what you will drink.”
Not just “imagine” the birds, but LOOK at actual birds…study and learn wisdom from them.
This is a part of the Christian mystical tradition, and is as helpful to us as other techniques of Eastern meditation.
When we ground ourselves in reminders of what is beautiful about our world, we can be calmed in our souls. But! The call is to do this in the “real world,” not just our imagination.
